What are you looking for? - Wednesday Gospel Reflection

Wednesday, December 14, 2016
Advent is, above all, a time of waiting. A time when we enter into the long history of salvation, taking the part of the people of Israel as they awaited the Messiah. But one question we should ask ourselves during this season is ‘what are we waiting for?’ In one sense this is obvious - we await the coming of our Saviour Jesus Christ at Christmas. The saints, being more closely united with Christ continue to intercede for us with the Father, and through a loving concern for us, help us through this world.  Read more

Wednesday, October 12, 2016

Is our religious practice one which buffs up the outside of the cup, leaving the inside tainted and impure? Asking these questions of ourselves can ensure that we don’t make the same mistakes as the pharisees, but can also tell us something about how we are to speak the truth to others.  Read more
